Many clocks visible on the street are installed on the wall of a building at eye level as a sign with a name or even a publicity slogan. These are called Street Sign Clocks. This one is from Peterbrooke Chocolatier in Winter Park,
Florida. The time is visible on the four sides of the clock.
An unusual sign clock is installed in the old jewelry district of New York on Maiden Lane, Broadway. A jeweler, William Barthman, embedded into the sidewalk in 1834 a bronze and glass clock that is still functioning.
