Illustrated, this New Haven eight days from the 1920s is typical of Napoleon’s Hat. Its main feature is the presence at each end of a round molding that rolls up from the base and resembles the edge of Napoleon’s hat. In addition, the central part of the clock, where the movement and the dial are, mimics the top of the hat. It is built in one piece except for the moldings at each end of the base.
